Push-joint, mechanical joint, and restrained joint pipes as manufactured by the McWane Pipe Group are compared against commonly available steel casing pipe (internal diameters) with a suggestion offered for the minimum casing pipe needed to wrap the ductile iron pipe with no less than three inches (total) of OD clearance over the ductile iron bell (i.e., one and a half inches each side of the bell). Additionally, provides the standardized wall thickness and ID with a single cement lining for all available pipe classes in the selected diameter.
